JACK NICKLAUS APPAREL INTERNATIONAL RELEASES INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2009 JACK NICKLAUS INTERNATIONAL INVITATIONAL.
Chicago, Illinois, USA, January 30, 2009 – Jack Nicklaus Apparel International will be sponsoring the 2009 Jack Nicklaus International Invitational (JNII). This is the fourth year for this unique amateur team golf event. National qualifying tournaments begin in February 2009 in participating countries around the world. The winning team of each national tournament represents their country at the international final Tournament of Champions to be held October 18 – 21, 2009 at Jack Nicklaus’ home course in Jupiter, Florida USA.
The JNII is a two-person team competition for golf enthusiasts of all skill levels who have not golfed professionally. Golfers enter a qualifying tournament in their country with a partner of their choosing and compete for their national championship. The JNII is a social event promoting the game of golf while allowing golf enthusiasts to test their skills in a fun atmosphere on some of the best courses in their country. The play and scoring format give all a fair chance at winning great prizes while enjoying great golf. Winning teams advance through the tournament until one two-person team earns the right to represent their country at the Tournament of Champions. National events for 2009 are scheduled in a growing number of countries around the world including Canada, China, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan and the United States. The Tournament of Champions is the culmination of the JNII where the players are crowned with the Golden Bear Champions’ Blazer celebrating them as their country’s national champion. The champions are pampered and indulged upon as golf superstars with an expense-paid, 6-day trip to the USA. The VIP package includes round trip air transportation, luxury accommodations and hospitality, golf on Jack Nicklaus’ exclusive home course, The Bear’s Club, and great mementoes to remember this once in a lifetime experience – a total value of approximately US $7,500.
